A little detox after the holidays might be helpful

I came across this excellent article in Chaltelaine’s.  I like to do simple things when what I am asked to do is complicated, there is the likelihood of shelving it away for another day. This detox is as simple as they come.

You know that you need to detox if you have any or a combination of these symptoms:

Here are some of the signs that a cleanse may be beneficial to your health:

  • Cravings for sugar, salt, starches, bread
  • Bloating and a gaseous, distended stomach or lower abdomen
  • Acne
  • Headaches, stomach aches
  • Lethargy, fatigue
  • Dry skin and hair, eczema
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Constipation, diarrhea (overall irregularity)
  • Mood swings
  • Lack of concentration
  • Weakened immunity
  • Weight gain and difficulty losing weight
