Hopeful about the future of food

When it comes to the future of the food system, it’s hard not to be discouraged. Nearly one billion people are hungry, and another 1.5 billion are obese or overweight. All over the world, people waste 1.3 billion tons of food each year. And according to the International Panel on Climate Change, humans are to blame for an increasingly hot, dry and natural disaster-prone planet.

Time to heed diet for a sustainable planet

Our current diet is not sustainable for us neither for the planet. In recent years North Americans have been sicker than ever and if it weren’t for the drug-industry many of us would be six-feet under. Living on pills for all our modern-day ailment is really no way to live.  Let’s get back to the basics that kept our foreparents robust and strong and done with all the processed mush and fake food we’re fed to keep other pockets well lined. You deserve it.  Have a happy life.
