Babies are socially smarter than you think

22 Nov

babyeinstein.jpgNew research shows that very early on babies are aware of who is nice or naughty to them. They have the ability to evaluate your actions and assess someone’s intentions towards them deciding who is a likely friend or enemy.  So when a baby does not laugh at your ooos and aaahhs, their little brains might be busy assessing your intentions.“We don’t think this says that babies have any morality but it does seem an essential piece of morality to feel positive about those who do good things and negative about those who do bad things – it seems like an important piece of a later more rational and moral system.”
