Eating nuts may help lower cholesterol

According to recent US studies eating a little bag of nuts  67 grams per day might have the effect of significantly lowering a person’s cholesterol by 7.4 %. However eating salty, sugary or oil-laden nuts might produce the opposite effect. It is suggested to eat plain nuts for best results. The type of nuts did not seem to matter.
